For the first time ever today

I saw a Police car chase.

They were chasing a silver BMW estate through the middle of Wakefield. It wasn't quite up to Sweeney standards, no squealing tyres or "You're nicked, you slag!" but it was a chase.

The BMW wasn't going mega fast but he wasn't stopping either. I lost sight of it after half a mile but my money would have been on the law.

Well done! Never seen a police car chase meself; the only time you see them driving fast round here is en route from the takeaway back to the station ....

But it does remind me of the time I was driving home from work and a fire engine swung out of a road in front of me, lights and siren blaring. So I thought, I'll follow it. 2 miles later, I was still more or less on its tail when it finally swung into our cul-de-sac.

To say the old ticker was palpitating would be an understatement .....

It's usually when Asda are reducing the prices on the fresh cakes in the bakery aisle that they race around here....
