I have the incentive of Mr Martin at 11am to keep me going.

Meeting a chum later to have a go on his 'orbits' and my rollerblades which will be hilarious.

Back to make a chickpea and spinach curry - the cheese will remain in the fridge now.

Looks lovely outside, but hy heck, chilly when I opened the shutters.

We're off to Olhao, to top up food and beer supplies, then back to house clean - and take down all the decs.

Chicken curry for us tonight, and I'm going to try and make some poppdoms. And a rather pleasant bottle of red to wash it down

Morning everyone

It's very dark and wet here Still, it's a Saturday so we'll be out for lunch later, then popping round to see D. She got back from her Christmas and NY trip yesterday - every year she stays with one of M's brothers for Christmas and the other for NY but I reckon this will be the last year for that. She is starting to find the long drives down to Dorset and Somerset a bit much I think

Becky is off on her travels tomorrow, Fraggle is a bit upset and keeps trying to climb into her suitcase. He doesn't like it when any of us go away, bless him. Pepper is ok, she knows we always come back

Morning all

Struggling with the smiley - it's really dark, and been raining since yesterday evening with no sign of stopping. Added to which Bb's back to work today, he has to get to the other side of Southampton and the first thing we heard on the bedroom clock radio was a serious accident on the motorway and it's expected to be closed till lunchtime
There's another few peoples' New Year ruined, quite apart from Bb trying to get to work

I definitely won't be going to the market, quite a few stalls will be missing anyway and hopefully next week will be a bit nicer.
Putting all the lights on and not looking outside seems a good idea!
My 'pretend I enjoy the housework' act will come in handy

The weather here is so bad i have half a mind to get back to bed

Wet and miserable here too. We really should have done the shopping yesterday while it was dry and bright, but we'll just have to brave the rain and pop down to the village shortly if we want to eat today and tomorrow
