We had a lovely time with Z and the boys. They all loved the film Penguins of Madagascar and afterwards we treated them to a milkshake at Ed's Diner before going back to their house. Z did a party tea, lots of picky bits and then we played cards which was great fun. The boys are getting really good and even Noah the youngest manages to join in with a little help. Finally settled down to watch the tv around 11ish, Adam Lambert and Queen followed by the fireworks at midnight. Amazingly all three boys managed to stay awake to see in the New Year, although Noah did promptly zonk out immediately after  Elijah was next, but Zachery who's 10 managed to stay up with us until about 1.30 and by then we'd all had it. It was a lovely way to see in the New Year 8-)

Yesterday morning we all woke up about 8, and then Z's husband M played chef and did us all a big fry up for brekkie. One of the pressies he and Z bought each other was a new coffee machine so we had a play with that too. Have to say E and I were totally pooped by the time we got back here and snoozed on and off for the rest of the day

No plans for today, E's just popped out for the papers and then we'll have brekkie and flop around for the rest of the day.

Hope you all have a good day :D

Morning all :)
Lovely and bright and sunny here too :D

Gosh I bet B's getting excited Kaz :D
Jo I always think the room needs flowers once the Christmasey bits are gone, it does look funny doesn't it. We'll make a start today, then the rest on Sunday, since Bb's back to work tomorrow.
Jen it's lovely once they're old enough to all join in with the same games isn't it, it becomes fun for everyone rather than just fun for them iyswim :)
Loz you'll be relieved to have the house to yourself (((x)))

I'm about to shift my butt and go into the next town, the dept store there has our everyday china in the sale (Denby, I gave up on cheapo stuff that has to be replace every 5 minutes!), and we're missing the pasta bowls.
The main set was a huge (mistake) bargain from amazon a few years ago (£28 for the dinner set when it was meant to be £108 on offer!), so we figured we could splash out on sale price for the bowls ;) :D
Have a good day all

Good morning all.

It's bright and sunny here, but rather cool.

I'm having a quiet day today for a change. Lots of reading to catch up with.

Hope you are all well.

Oooo I'd love to do a bit of reading - might manage an hour or so later.

No sleep last night, bloomin wind howling a gale all night, things strewn around the garden this morning and my reed fence is in half downwards :( I hate wind. So up with the larks and out to get a shop in, surprisingly quiet today, shoved a load of washing in while I went out, second one is halfway through now and the tumbler is going as I type. I've also given the dogs a quick walk.

Gorgeous and sunny here though - Tom's at work today and then tonight he and Amy are going up to Sunderland to watch their dog run her first A1 graded race. Doubt she'll win but she's gone up the grades very well. I've to collect Amy around 3ish and she'll feed our two and walk them before they leave. Jen is working this evening so I'll enjoy a quiet evening alone, might have a bath and read.....bliss!

Kaz how excited is B???? :D :D I hope she has a phenomenal time! So fab an experience for her xxx

Have a good day everyone xxxxx

Strolled down to the village, got the lotto, the photocopier in the newsagents was working, so got the photcopies done. Weirdly, the butchers is shut today: Sadly, I couldn't persuade Grumpy that that meant dinner at the Capri

Went to Nizette's, she was out of the beer we normally have, so had a couple of mini's, which she then didn't charge ius for. Shared some of their lunch, some stupendous fresh cheese and now we're back.

Lovely.

Thanks Di and Gal, yes she is excited :)

Been out all flipping day, amazing how much stuff B discovered she still hadn't got from her list- good job she's got a job these days! Also it might have been a good idea if she'd ordered her currency rather than assuming we would just be able to buy SA Rands at the drop of a hat

I came home to a nice de-tree'd, de-cluttered, hoovered living room!! He is a good lad, on the quiet ;) :D He'd also replaced the manky sealant around B's bath and vax'd the bedroom carpet where Fraggle threw up the other morning

Oh the joys of pets and children!! ;)
