Good afternoon all, it's very sunny but cold and frosty here.

John and the boys have gone to stay overnight with MIL so I'm home alone with the furry child. I went into town this morning (hitched a lift with John and the kids as far as the Tesco Express on the outskirts). I was a bit wary of going with it being icy but I dug out my old boots which are amazing on slippy footpaths so I got along with no problems. They were from Dotty Ps four years ago and are a black suede Ugg style. I've walked miles in them on icy footpaths but unfortunately the soles are now very, very close to wearing through :( I certainly noticed the difference when I took Billy for a walk and had changed into my suede waterproof snow boots - the paths and roads on the estate which I'd walked on half an hour earlier were actually treacherous!

Hope everyone starts feeling better soon, I'm not feeling too bad now so hopefully this cold's on it's way out. Seeing how John and Joe were with this cold I certainly think that using First Defence helped me. One of the things that really annoys me about having a cold though is that I can't stop eating, I've really binged the last few days :o

Have a good day all!

8-) It's good stuff!!!

Tom's off on holiday today (back to work tomorrow) so as the weather is gorgeous but cold we have been down to Seaburn for a walk along the beach and a coffee in what used to be Jayelles. Jen is out with her dad and his new family - he has come to see his mam and family today who live in our village, and he's taken them all out for lunch. We were out when he called for Jen...he'll be dropping her off shortly as she's working again this evening.

Supposed to have been taking Lewis with us to the beach but there was a bit of a mixup with the plans and he got taken to his other Gran's earlier so mum could tidy the house...disappointing for us but good for her :)

Have a lovely evening all x

Evening all, there was a heavy frost last night and it's been really cold all day but the furtherest I have been is to the car to get something out of it. I felt really dreadful when I got up, having had yet another night of very poor sleep, this sinusitis is really flattening me. We were to go to a friend's house for a meal tonight but I rang and cancelled, then went back to bed for a few hours. I feel slightly better but only slightly, hope I feel much better tomorrow as Michael is supposed to be coming for a sleepover and we would all be disappointed if we had to cancel. Enjoy the rest of the evening :)

We've had a fabulous day here, really nice. My chicken Provencale went down a storm :D We then had a lovely relaxed afternoon, sitting round drinking and chatting, then walked the dogs round the field a couple of times in a vain attempt to walk off the crumble I made for pud

They've gone to the hotel now (they were up at the crack of dawn to get my nephew to Heathrow before 8am) but will be back in the morning :)

It sounds as though everyone has been busy - good news on the BP Jen and the car Ton :D

Jo I have eaten loads over the past few days, but am back strictly on points tomorrow, and have a whole week before my next WW meeting  ;)
