Kaz, I was the same when we were in England, as Grumpy's family would be at our place 8-) on Boxing Day, expecting to be fed, watered and entertained

Well, they got fed and watered, they had to entertain themselves.

And as it was my in-laws, the place was spotless

And I loved it :P :P :P

Good afternoon all.

Debih - Christmas is always a very emotive time - a time for happiness and a time for grieving.
We do understand, and hope you will feel better in due course. (((((Debih))))) XXX

Frank - Thinking of you - Lots of healing vibes on their way.

We will be getting down this afternoon to the serious business of deciding just
what to take for our Christmas holiday, and packing our suitcases.
Then it will be 'early to bed, early to rise'. I'm so excited.

I shall be off the Internet for now for about five days, as holidays for me are always technology-free.
So, have a lovely Christmas everyone.
Aggers

Good afternoon all, it's gone quite dull here after a sunny but very blustery morning. Typical that I've got a line of washing out there drying, it definitely looks like rain's on the way now. I ran into town first thing and got a loaf and some chocolates. They're for me and John because we must be the only people in the UK who don't get chocolate at Christmas. I got us a bag of those Cadburys Caramel Nibbles and a box of mint Matchmakers and then spotted that the large boxes of Jelly Babies were reduced to £1.50 in the little Tesco down the road - seemed a shame to leave so many boxes on the shelf so I reduced the numbers by one ;)

Tonight I need to pop to the big Tesco for some rolls and more bread, they can then go in the freezer tomorrow when the turkey vacates it's shelf. We'll deliver some cards whilst we're out, just to a few old friends who all live over in the Walsall area.

Yesterday was busy. Shopping in the morning, Billy walk, lots of cleaning and tidying, hair cut (which takes all of 10 minutes but the walk to the salon takes almost an hour each way, or a grand total of four buses - I'd rather walk) and an after-dark Billy walk. I was so looking forward to sitting down and doing nothing and while we were out walking Billy, my friend rang to see if she could pop around to bring some presents so it was back home to re-tidy and then she arrived just after 9 but it was really lovely to see her :)

Thinking of Frank today xx

Debbie (((((((Debbie))))))) Sending you lots of love, glad you're taking today off as it were...xxx

Have a good day all!

Kaz, I forgot to say that I cleaned our carpets at the weekend - and the Vax lived to see another day! The last two Christmases I've cleaned them the weekend before the big day and both times the Vax broke (first time it was out of guarantee, then the replacement we bought to finish the job broke almost a year to the day after we'd bought it!) so I was a bit on edge

Dear Debih, it was bound to happen, so you are right not to fight it. Be prepared for grief to hit you unexpectedly at any stage, that's the nature of it ((((((Debih))))))

Evening all, been not a bad day here, very very mild. I woke with a bit of a heavy head, I feel as if I have a dose of something coming on but don't know what :o We walked to the nearby shopping centre to get a few bits, the supermarket was mental! But we weren't getting major shopping and were not under any pressure. I had seen a recipe for a Christmas Rocky Road so we got ingredients for that, and two nice glittery boxes so we can give some to my sister and Miss Osc. After lunch we made said Rocky Road which is now setting in the fridge - never made it before. Having our dinner soon and settling down for the evening. Aggers, hope you have a super holiday!!
