An international afternoon...

Postby meriad » 20 Jan 2013, 15:38

sitting here in my lounge (in the UK) on my sofa that was made in Asia somewhere, sipping a glass of German red wine, nibbling on some crisps from South Africa, watching a programme about Australia.... Only thing I need now is something from either North or South America and I've covered the five continents... :D :D :D

I'm sat here drinking German beer, wearing an English fleece, Portuguese socks and slippers, Chinese jeans  so I'm not helping much :)

And Grumpy is a quarter French, even with our surname  which is very German

Right, I'm off to try this oven, will report back later.

Oh, and I'm not sure where the oven is from, the lemons are from our garden, the chicken is from our neighbours garden ( thank you muchly xx) the garlic is from Spain and the veg are local ish.

LOL Kaz, the only reason I know my sofa was made in Asia somewhere was because when I tried to cancel the order I was told in no uncertain terms I couldn't cancel as the sofa had already been made and was on a ship from Asia to the UK.... :)

No idea where my sofa is from but I'm using an iPad from China whilst watching weather from the Arctic through the window, drinking coffee from Colombia and listening to John chat on the phone to the mother in law from hell :P

:D :D :D Jo, that is definitely VERY international :D :D :D :D

Kaz, yes - the sofa arrived the first week in January and it is very very comfy. A lot lot smaller than what I had so it's taking getting used to but I'm loving the reclining function; but have to be careful the cats don't hide under the sofa when the footrest is up ;-)
