Me!

T gives money to each family member and they buy what they want, then give those gifts back to me to be wrapped up! Meantime I have spent money on said family members also so those are also to wrap. Twice as many.....

I put the decs up without help from any source. I got them out of the loft although T did 'catch' them as I handed them down. I bought new this year as well, and put them up. I bought the cards, wrote them out, posted those that needed - quite a few were friends of T's....

I have bought the bulk of the food shopping myself, I still have another trip to the supermarket to do before the day but it'll have to be after work one night next week as I forgot to arrange a delivery in advance and now there are no slots....

Jen will be the main cook on the day and I will help, T will probably stack the d/w....

It really is a mans world when it comes to Christmas!! I think your friends are very much the exception rather than the rule MM.....

(Gal, wot is starting to feel like a Christmas grump!!)

There was that Asda ad which was criticised a few years ago where the woman was running around doing everything while the rest of the family sat back and let her get on with it. I thought it was typical of most households!

It does,nt alter when you get old MM.
I still buy all the presents, write the cards shop for the food and cook it.
Don gives me money and puts some tinsel round the room and lights on
a tree in the garden.

After 58 years I am used to it.

Me too. Mick only ever buys my present.

If it were left to him his family would never get xmas or birthday presents. He just assumes I will get them - he never asks if I will/have or gives me any suggestions of what to get.

Bah humbug.

Snap Debih!!!! When 'we' gave his mum her (rather beautiful) Christmas card last weekend, D turned to him in delight first then thanked us both! I was the one who very carefully chose it (she puts great store on the words in cards) and wrote in it - he hadn't even seen it until she opened it!! :? :x

He did help me choose her present, or rather he stood and shrugged when I asked him what he thought of various things, and then paid for it after I'd chosen it!

another snap here. Maybe I picked up on my friends more as Sue at work (her with the perfect marriage) also said "well isn't Tim interested in what you\re spending his money on, Dave loves to see what I've bought everyone? Errr no and apart from for his mum, it's my money anyway. Tim really isn't interested in what I buy my friends. Is any man? Apart from hers that is?
