Been and come back

Popped into D's and then over to the charity shop. Nabbed 3 Lee Childs under the nose of some-one else    8-) then onto the Gran Plaza, got 3 pairs of jeans, still at 8.90 each so bought Grumpy a top.

Then spent a small fortune at Aldi's, but need to get some gelatine, as they didn't have any

Sun out, making pork stew this afternoon, and a Rick Stien meatball thingy for dinner :D :D

I might just sit on the step later, with a book     8-) and possibly a beer :D :D :D

hug big ((((((hug))))) Debih - do you have someone you can talk to / with. ((hug))

usual work day for me; managed to get a few bits and bobs done around the house yesterday (had the day off) so now trying to catch up on things. Not a good start to the morning as the car is playing up quite badly so needs to go to the garage on Friday. My laptop I think has a faulty connection somewhere as it makes a horrendous crackling noise when held at a certain angle so it potentially is gearing up to be an expensive month :(

Have a lovely day all

I have all of you lovely lot. Ton got it perfectly - thats exactly how I'm feeling.

Yes I do have someone to talk to - my lovely friends.

I also think my labrythnitis might be back - I'm feeling really woozy. But I have my tablets now to try out - they are very conveniently in my kitchen cupboard so I will have to wait until I get home to try them out!

(((((((Debbie)))))))) Sending you lots of love and hugs xx

Good afternoon all, it's quite a grey day here but ever so mild. John and Joe are still off work and school. In fact Joe's still in bed. He had a restless night though so needs to catch up. I'm still using First Defence and yes Di, I take a zinc and high dosage Vit C daily anyway.

I walked down to town this morning. I bought one of those cherry blossom trees yesterday, it's a small one with 24 lights on it and battery operated so is just for indoors but it's ever so pretty when lit up and gives out a fair bit of light so I went back for another for in the landing window. I got the Christmas crackers too.

I came home to some sad news in a Christmas card though. We've sent cards since moving to our old neighbours, Joan and Alan, and I'd often bump into one or the other of them in town. Last time I saw Joan she told me that Alan was undergoing chemo. She put a note in the card to say that he'd passed away at the end of November. He was a lovely man and they must've been married for over 50 years. Joan and her sister would always shop together around town on Tuesday mornings and I saw her sister pass the end of the aisle while I was in a queue in Boots yesterday and I had a look to see if I could see Joan once I'd paid but couldn't, and then while walking down to town this morning I thought that I could've brought their card down with me and popped it down to them, glad I didn't now I know. I will take one down before Christmas though.

Have a good day all :)

((((((Debih))))))) xxx

We saw a very nice young doctor. Our notes haven't come through yet so as my tabs are beta blockers he wanted a bit of info and then took my BP. Not surprisingly it was high, don't know why but I've been feeling on edge and quite emotional the last few days :? He wants me to take readings at home and see him in a weeks time in case he needs to up the dosage. As we're away from Tuesday next week the appointment will have to wait until just after Christmas. Goodness know how that's going to work with all the food and drink I'll be consuming, but hey ho if that's what he wants........

Afterwards we treated ourselves to coffee and brekkie out and then did some shopping.

((((Debih)))) The sadness is completely normal too - I know the feeling all too well xxxxx

Jen the new GP sounds on the ball, hope your BP is soon back to its usual level - moving is stressful ((((x))))

I've had a lovely time, out and about with Sue! We are going to hit the sales in Cheltenham in the New Year :D

Jo, my MIL has one of those lights - they look very pretty :) Sorry to hear the sad news about your old neighbour :o

Thanks Kaz, there seems to be a lot of sadness around at the moment. My Mom's friend (the mother of an old school friend of mine) died the other week and it said in the obituary in the local paper that she'd be missed by her son and daughter T and J, and was reunited with her son M. We didn't know M had died and thought that strange but then in last week's paper there was an obituary for M and it turned out that he'd died two days before his mother
