Morning Wednesday

Postby jenniren » 17 Dec 2014, 07:56

Morning all :)

Got up at a ridiculously early time, well for me anyway  We've appointments at the doctor, it's only a 10min drive away but I've no idea what the rush hour traffic is like around here so want to allow plenty of time. We put off registering down here in the hope we'd know where we would buy, each area has it's own catchment, but I'm running out of pills and it's silly not to have a GP in case of emergencies. No idea what this surgery is like and think we're seeing a part timer so doubt we'll have a better idea after this visit. I was expecting the first step to be a general check, it's what they do with new patients at our old surgery, but apparently not down here :? E's decided not to change his consultant until we're nicely settled, Mr.C is quite happy for him to continue having his 3mthly checks back in Swindon indefinitely, and while we're still visiting mother that works fine.

Will probably detour to the shops on the way back, Z and the boys are coming for dinner on Sunday so I need to start thinking what I'll be doing.

Hope you all have a good day :)

Morning Jen :) Morning everyone :)

Jen I hope all goes well at the new doctor's :) I thought all GP surgeries did those New Patient check ups too! :?

Ally the Christmas fun sounds great :)

It looks wet here, as far as I can tell as it's not light yet! I'm going out with my new friend and NDN Sue just before lunch, which will be nice, and hopefully it won't be pouring down as she doesn't drive either, so like me tends to walk to town  B is working all day, she got her visa for Namibia all sorted yesterday :D

Have a good day everyone :) xx

Morning everyone

A glorious- and quite warm 8-) - morning here too :P :P :P

Hope all goes well Jen xx Our new docs here, let alone the clinic, get all new tests done.

Busy morning as we're off to Tavira, to take the laundry back, into the charity shop for books, then to C & A for jeans for me, if they still have them  Rule of thumb for Portugal - if you see something you like, buy it -when you go back, it's gone. And once it's gone, it never comes back.

Then onto Aldi's and then I'm going to have a crack at making those cream pies :D :D :D

Ally, have fun :P :P and hope the rain stays away for you Kaz xx

Have a good day everyone xx

Kaz all nearly organised then, when is B's trip and how long for? - I'm sure you told us but I've forgotten :o
Have a nice time with your neighbour x

Today's list is mostly sorting out I think, washing the glasses, things like that, and we thought we'd go and buy the booze too.
Hope you all have a good day

Morning all. Dark and miserable here again.

Last day at work for me, though I do have adoption panel tomorrow.

I feel all weird. You know how you feel when you're dead anxious and jittery about something - well I feel like that but I'm not anxious or nervous about anything. Its a very odd feeling. It started last night. It is getting better but I do still feel rather peculiar.

Off to the carols round the tree in the village tonight. Mums coming too if the weather isn't too bad.

We went out for a meal last night for FIL's birthday. Lovely food but it felt so odd - all of us being there but no dad.

Morning all, it's a dull day after lots of rain last night, but mild. Just about to have my shower then I'll do some houseworky stuff. Miss Osc and the children (still get a kick out of saying that :) ) will be here later. Their Sky tv was disconnected by Sunday so we recorded the SCD results for Michael and Miss Osc and they are coming to watch that. Then we are going to the dance studio Christmas party tonight which should be fun. Have a good day everyone :D

Deb it's called free floating anxiety, and I think with all you've had to cope with it' isn't surprising. Take some rest if you can, and relax if possible (((((((((((((x)))))))))))

Morning Osc :) Morning Ton :)

Di she goes on the 4th for two weeks :) We are taking B and her friend E, who will be staying here overnight, down to Heathrow very early for their flight, and then meeting up with Chris for some lunch :) E's dad is picking them up on the 18th and bringing them back :)

Thanks Kaz. I googled it (oh google is a dangerous thing) and it describes how I am feeling down to a tee!

Today is my last day at work and although I have adoption panel tomorrow I have no plans from Friday onwards (other than food shopping) so I should have a good few days to chill out and do nice things.

I was talking to my work colleague earlier and she was asking me how I am feeling and the only way I can describe it is really, really sad. All the running around is over and that first feeling of relief (relief that he was out of pain, relief that my mum didn't have to keep coping, relief that we didn't have to watch him deteriorate) has now gone and I just feel sad - sad that I won't see him again, sad that he is no longer in my girls lives, sad that my mum is all on her own and just generally sad. Not upset in a sobbing sort of a way but sad in an empty feeling, tear rolling down the cheeks sort of way. Just sad.

Debih, hugs, huge sunshiney ones xxx

I know exactly how you're feeling, I had that when my dad died too.

it's a sort of unreal, floaty, bereft but not sure why type of feeling.

It will go, it's just your head grieving too and saying "now, there's something missing, what is it"
