They're not German are they Ton - twice in 3 weeks we've had a German couple asking if they could buy our house!!

First time they came they told us they have family quite close by and our house would be ideal.

Today they turned up and said it was still ideal and would we reconsider selling as they have ready cash. :o :o

It's still a no.

They're persistent I'll say that for them.

Have a fabulous time Gal, and I'm sure you'll look lovely whatever your hair colour ;)

We are lucky to have the double patio doors here to put the tree in front of :) Nowhere else really, what with the furniture and our wall mounted 'leccy fire with mirror over it! In a couple of our older houses with bay windows (the 30's semi and the small Edwardian house in Egham) we've had a pine chest cum blanket box in front of the window in the bay - normally with ornaments on, but at Christmas we'd put the tree on there ;)

 We need a Christmas tree thread, think I'll start one on the picture board later :D

Jo I remember you posting about that last year - good for you not going. No point if you won't enjoy it :? ;)

Blimey Ally, they have some nerve! :(

Ton, fingers crossed!!! XX :D

Tbh if it wasn't for the dogs going in there every evening, mostly unsupervised, I'd have put my white tree up in the conservatory rather than take up space in the living room. It's an L shape living/diner, but with J doing a lot of sewing/business in here (she even calls it her office!) the dining room end is full of boxes, machines (sewing and overlocker), a suitcase under the table, and many account type files stuffed behind an armchair!! So putting extra stuff in, no matter how small, makes it look a bit cramped and fussy. Grrrr. Sorry it does look nice though :) Kaz we have patio doors in the dining room, but they are used all the time as they lead into the conservatory....wouldn't be without it though :)

Aw thanks all - I hope it goes well tonight. Off to start putting the slap on shortly....

It turned out a busier day than we had planned! We set off quite early to use Mr Osc's free travel pass for the first time (I get to go free too :) ) by getting the bus into town for a potter around before it got too busy. We got what was on our list, and I also got a new pair of dance shoes which I have been looking out for for quite a while. We ate out so we wouldn't have to cook. Then we got a text from Miss Osc asking if we would like to see their new rented house, so we got a bus out to Howth and saw the house (it's gorgeous). Miss Osc asked if we could mind the children in the old house for a while so they could move more stuff and we did that, they had been going back and forth with a van all day with a friend babysitting, but the friend had to go. I swear to goodness, they have amassed more stuff in 12 years than we have in 42  , made me feel quite minimalist!!

After about an hour she left us to the station to get a train back here, we had a much longer day than we anticipated and it was nice to be home and settled down to watch SCD. It was a cold bright day and the wind has got up quite a bit now. Heading to bed shortly, see you tomorrow :)
