I'm in love

The present I 'bought' us for nothing was this

We both love coffee but mostly are happy with instant; once a day we have one of those more proper, instant espresso-type ones. We have a cafetiere but can't be bothered with it every day and it's messy...but since we got back from Spain I've really missed the lovely coffee ;)

So I clicked and collected this afternoon (handily from our little village Tesco), set up and tested :D
And not only was it free (well ok, £20 worth of clubcard vouchers) but it came with 6 pods and in the box is a £10 code for buying more pods :D :P :D
Minimum order from their own website is 4 boxes, at £3.68 each, so for now we'll have 64 drinks for a total of £4.72, or 7p each :)
We only buy coffee out once in a very blue moon, so it's a small indulgence :D

Ooh I love fresh coffee, especially one you can stand your spoon in. I see your machine does different strengths, Di. :P

I got a nifty little gizmo from a market in France. It is like one of those Chuppa Chup ball lollies: Clip it open; fill it with ground coffee; close it up and put it in a cup of boiling water.

Di, I have a Philips Senseo which works in the same way, I've had it for two years now and it's used several times a day.

The pods worked out expensive though (we enjoy our coffee) so I used to buy Lidl's own brand which were just as good but half the price but they've recently discontinued them. Instead I now use a Coffee Duck in it, it's the same as the pod holder but you use ground coffee instead of pods, and it's fab! The bags of Starbucks have been on offer at Tesco recently so I've been buying that.

I believe that Amazon sell pods at quite a discount.

Thanks for the tips Jo, I'll be investigating ;)

Wm if you have any Tesco vouchers it's well worth looking at the clubcard boost thingy, I already 'bought' a pannini press the other week for nothing :D
The vouchers used to be used for taking the boys out to eg Prezzo, but now eldest is at uni and youngest wasn't here for ages, we had a build-up ;) :D :x

Don't have a Tesco, Di, it's all Asda and Morrisons round here.

Nice.

Does anyone else think it looks like a racing driver?
