Good afternoon all.

Had my first walk out for a week this morning - to pick up my new glasses (specs).
It seemed very cold, and I had an unusual pain in the back of my head. I was a bit
worried until Mrs A said that she had an identical pain, so it must have something
to do with the type of bug we have both been suffering from. It's better now, now
we're back in the warm.

Hope you are all feeling well.

Gentle hugs ((((((Ria)))))) ;)

Cheers Di ;) xxx

Debih, I think Ton has it spot on

Osc, that sounds like a fabulous day out :D :) :)

Well I walked into town, got some suction thingies that might fix the door wreath, but if not I got Blutack as well ;) Then I sat in Coffee#1 with a cuppa and a teacake, wrote the card out I'd bought specially for my cousin in Germany whose dad died recently - it's quite tricky to find a card this is a bit Christmassy but not too jolly!? Anyway I found one, popped on the airmail sticker and stamp I'd already bought for it, sat and finished my crossword thinking I would post it before I got on the bus home, and promptly forgot until I was on the bus!!! So I got off a stop early instead and posted it in the local box    :? Head like a sieve these days........... :?

Bit parky out there but fairly bright, so not unpleasant :) ;)

Hi all - early start for me as I had a GP appt at 9.30 (week off??? Ha!) and then straight into the OOT shopping centre to return an impulse buy of a bauble wreath and a small gold lighty up tree

http://www.diy.com/departments/bauble-w ... 183_BQ.prd

http://www.diy.com/departments/16ft-pre ... 915_BQ.prd

Very pretty both, but I really didn't need them - just thought they looked pretty. BUT when I got there, and had my money refunded, guess what had been reduced - since Tuesday??!! I was really glad I had returned them! Then I spotted a brand new B&M store had opened just along from B&Q, so I spent aaaages in there, I bought a seven light bridge thingy which I've been after for ages, and a long piece of tinsel....then headed into the city to go and have a read of the paper and a latte in my fave coffee shop...in the market afterwards I got a length of pretty gold 'rope' to hang the wreath on the door, then headed home.

I've coloured my hair (it's very dark!!) and messed about putting the new stuff up....Jen's gone to work and T will be home soon so a quiet evening beckons, unless we get Lewis, as T hasn't seen him much this week.

Hope you're feeling more like you now Ria xx

Kaz I hope B's jab doesn't make her arm hurt too much xx

Enjoy your evening everyone xxx

We had a lovely time! The exhibition was fascinating and then just had lunch as it was quite early, and we knew we had the makings of a quick meal in the freezer for dinner. The photographer was Fr. Browne who took some very famous photos on the Titanic, but about 25 years after he died, an enormous collection of negatives was discovered and fantastic work was done on restoring them, the exhibition had photos going back to 1909. He had an interesting life, was an army chaplain in WW1, wounded five times and gassed. Then spent time in Australia, England and Ireland.

This is where we were. http://www.farmleigh.ie
