Debih they are lucky to get an invite after their recent behaviour!!! Ignore her, it's your house, so your meal!! Oh and next year, don't invite them. After how they behaved at your dad's cremation they are lucky you are still tolerating them xxxxxxx

Di it was all planned - jab late morning, then train to Bristol to hand in her work for the afternoon, she even had her train ticket booked, as she usually does - then they got an email a few days ago telling them attendance all day, and it was compulsory :? :o

I could bore on about the other stuff - an essay dropped on them with little notice for one thing, when they should have been told of the date for submitting weeks before, but suffice to say they (uni) are well paid for a service poorly delivered  :? I think many unis still think they are delivering a 'free' service, and have a kind of take it or leave it attitude, but students are highly paying customers these days......

Morning all :)

Enjoy meeting up with your friend Ally :)

So pleased for you Ton, what a difference it will make :D

Blimey Debih, your MIL must be incredibly thick skinned

Absolutely lashed down here overnight. It's still grey and miserable, but because we were lazy yesterday  we'll have to brave it after brekkie. Need veggies to get us over the weekend.

Hope you all have a good day :)

She's obviously decided that this is the way Christmas is supposed to happen so will pull out all the stops to make sure it happens her way.

It won't.

Morning all, lovely sunny day but I'd say it's cold. We are giving ourselves a day off and going to a lovely old house which the government uses to house visiting dignatories, Farmleigh. They have a photographic exhibition there we want to see, and we will eat out so we won't have to cook later. Been a busy week so looking forward to the outing. Have a good day everyone :)

That sounds nice Osc, I love photography exhibitions :)

Kaz yes you're right, they do need a change of attitude ;) x

Blimey Debih - yes, she wants 'that' sort of Christmas.
You'll just have to bite the bullet and tell her, that's exactly why you've always had Christmas day at home, because you don't want that sort of day and if she wants to come to you then she has to share your version of it, not her own ((x)))

Or perhaps she'd like to stay at her home and do it how she likes?

greetings all - board meeting here this morning so a busy start to the day... and definitely NOT helped by the copious amounts of red wine consumed last night. One day I will learn....(not)   - needless to say; I would kill to be at home on the sofa right now; but own fault LOL

Debih, your MIL really takes the cake.
