Morning all, bright and sunny here but very windy and probably very cold. Busy day again today, Michael is going to an audition for a Nike ad - the casting people approached SIL having seen his golf video, they want a 6 year old so he is actually too young but they loved the video. He won't get it, he is too shy and not a performer but he does hit a very fine golf shot. Miss Osc wasn't too bothered about it but SIL is keen (not sure myself either ) so as SIL is actually in Cork for work today, Mr Osc is going to go along and I will look after Kellie here. Then when they come back Michael will help decorate our tree and they will stay for tea. So I am off to the supermarket shortly. Also have to do some paperwork, then relax this evening. Good afternoon all, it's bright here but there's a bitterly cold wind I felt a bit vulnerable walking through the woods as the trees are very tall pine trees and some are already leaning.

I was expecting a parcel today and was planning to have to stay in but I had a text just after 7am to say that it would be delivered between 9.46 and 10.46 so I managed to get to the gym and back beforehand. I do love Interlink and their preciseness, I was tracking the delivery van online and it was so accurate

Shopping tonight, might see if I can get the turkey as I've now run down the freezer a bit to make some room. I need to pick up some jeans I ordered for instore collection from Tesco too.

I've got another few presents to wrap too, the photo gifts for the boys that I had delivered today and a Breaking Bad t shirt for Tom that came from an EBay seller in the post earlier, and John's taken delivery of a DVD player for Tom for in his room and a G-Shock watch for Joe so he'll bring those home this evening, neither have really asked for much this year so they'll be nice surprises for them.

Wow Osc that sounds amazing!! A star in the making eh? I hope it turns out the way you hope!

I have been feeling very irritable and frustrated today. I had a hair appt at 10 and was washed, cut, dried and out by 10.40 - headed straight to Aldi and then Asda for groceries and wine, then home. After a quick lunch I spent almost an hour trying to attach a set of tree lights to our front window, very frustrating as the sticky tape wouldn't stick and I only had 15 little sucker hooks which weren't much better *eyeroll* ...eventually got them to stay put, plugged them in - nothing. Wahhhhhh!! I wanted to cry! I changed the fuse in the plug but still nothing. I'll wait till T gets back and ask him to have a look....

As I was so angry I used the energy to go clean the bathrooms and polish a bit upstairs, it's been rather neglected lately *blush*. I have had a towels wash on and a couple of others, so kept going with that.

I think I need a rest!! Haha!!!

T will be exhausted tonight as he was away in Manchester till turned 1am this morning at a race meeting, and then was up at 5 to go to work!

Oh that's annoying Gal!!

I bought a lovely new wreath for the front door then remembered I needed Blutack as well before I can fix it I have to tie a ribbon to the wreath then feed that over the top of the door to the inside then secure it with Blutack, as there is nothing to tie the ribbon to, and no fixings on the door outside that would secure the wreath that way It worked well last year

I have to do that as well - another thing to add to my frustration! The doubled cotton thread I have used for the past couple of years finally snapped but I have to sort out another bit to the correct length, and I'd just had enough today *cross*

We used one of those the first year we lived here and with the door being a snug fit it very slightly knocked it out of line and the insulation strip that's fitted into it all the way around fell out because it was rubbing against the mat. Our joined on neighbours had exactly the same problem, both of us were still covered by the builders coming around to do jobs so we had to call them out and say that we didn't know what had happened

At our old house we used to attach a ribbon to the wreath and simply push a drawing pin through it and into the top edge of the door but the door we have here is steel so it can't be done.
