Any time I check FB I also check Twitter (as much as I can ). It's interesting limited myself to 140 characters!

WM that was a bit unfair I actually thought the thread developed into an interesting discussion of using/not using Twitter and how people feel about it and I was specially interested in what Gal had to say as she seems to be the VVer who uses it the most.

Oh thank you Osc, I'm not sure I am THAT au fait with it myself but I'm getting there It sounds as though you are doing just fine, I go there first and then to FB so I'd say I use both about the same. It's really Janie who is our Twitter expert I think, although I don't think she's been about much lately.

WM I too think your comments were a bit unfair. I don't understand why you'd think you are excluded if you don't use it, it's not an exclusive club and anyone can join Dip a toe in, you might be surprised

I have bitten the bullet and put the app on my phone and am following things like local paper, town council, BBC news, etc.

I can't see me ever tweeting but maybe I'll pick up useful info on local stuff.

I've un- and re-installed the app on my phone today so hopefully it may sort out the missing blocks of tweets problem I've been having.
I'll see if I can get my head around it a bit more.

I have been playing with it this evening whilst sat in the car waiting for S.

I am now following 46 people (including Gal who has a 700 page book from the library that is too heavy to hold in the bath ).

Off the top of my head I am following Gal, Paul Hollywood, Giles Cohen, Kitty Cohen, Jay Rainer, Sue Perkins, BBC headlines, Derbyshire Police, two local radio stations, two local news stations, one local paper, the town and district council, Nigella, Jamie, that woman that won the first Bake Off programme (can't remember her name - Jo someone), Richard Madeley (don't ask - I did it by mistake), Twitter Books (no idea what that is, it just popped up), The Archers. That's all I can remember.

I haven't tweeted anything yet - I don't know what to say!

I have only two followers - Fruity from DD and Unofficial St Aghes. They are going to be very bored following me!

I don't like the way its called "following". It makes me feel like some sort of cyber stalker!

I started following you when I first joined twitter a few months ago but haven't used it since so you probably got the email then.

My twitter user name is very similar to my VV user name with the debih in it. Oh and my avatar is vodka cocktails (now there's a surprise).
