The new ones are dreadful aren't they?!
We have some energy saving ones in our house which can only be bought online, they have three prongs on the bayonet rather than the usual two and last time I looked they were around £10-£12 each :o I remember the builders saying that they were required by law to put in a number of light fittings which could only be used for energy saving bulbs.

We got around it though, whenever one has blown John's replaced the whole light fitting with a normal one that'll take a two pronged bulb :P

We popped down to the daily market this morning and bought some gert tuna steaks, popped into the coffee, fo a beer (well, it was hot  ) and Nizette came out with a plate full of chicken wings and thighs. deep fried. :o   Really really scrummy.

Think it's a thank you for the last couple of weeks, as we've been down there an awful lot  and spent a lot too

What to do tomorrow night?
Tom's having friends around for his birthday, it's not until next weekend but they'll be in the middle of mocks then so he's having his takeaway this weekend instead.

We have to vacate the house between 6pm and 10pm (he's got to be up for his paper round so is conscious of the time lol). Billy's going to my parents but we don't want to sit around there for the whole 4+ hours as they're Saturday night TV addicts...if we go for a meal that'll just take an hour or so and there's nothing at the cinema any of us want to see, and the majority of films are rated 15 at the moment so no good for Joe.

All that's left is Birmingham. The Bullring's open until 8. We can shop, have something to eat and then go to my parents.
