Morning all
We finally got rid of her
Both of us were fine thanks, up bright and early and enjoyed inspecting the garden.
The earlier train was a slow one so no point, we triple-checked that the next one was running on time and then I dropped meriad at the station and legged it quick
It absolutely hammered down as I was driving back, but at home we got virtually nothing!
Yesterday was fab, couldn't have been better (except the train fiasco of course).
The neighbour was lovely and took me right to the station (with time to spare), meriad and I started talking as she got off the train and didn't shut up till she went to bed - yes, she was the first!
Had a lovely wander right up the length of the market/High St, then instead of walking all the way back down again to the quay we carried on and went to Wetherspoons and sat in the garden for a couple of hours.
Bb was home by then so he came and collected us, we got back here and carried on (well, actually I had a break for a cup of tea
). We got all the food ready, meriad made a yummy tomato salad (with pomegranate molasses, the recipe was in yesterday's Times).
And she came bearing gifts - the best kind, to eat and drink
Courgettes, cucumbers and chillies - and wine
Pretty little black chillies, that packed quite a punch in our tabbouleh
An extremely good time was had by all
