I may take your guide on that then Fugi, since the worst thing I've yet done is draw and pluck a pheasant :D
Love oysters though :)

I hope Molly is too busy to log in here until after they've been cleaned and she's eaten the scallops because inside the shell is the most disgusting, evil mess I have ever seen! Big black frilly things, slime, entrails and the scallop is stuck onto one half of the shell with this rubbery, grippy stuff. I was appalled. I was heaving! Trust me Di! Don't even go there

As for drawing and plucking pheasants! I didn't speak to my chef husband for a week when he bought a brace of pheasants home and I had to help him pluck them. Bloody feathers everywhere, the cats were going bonkers, the smell was shocking and all because they were cheap!

Oysters! I thought I liked them until I bit into a fresh oyster and the other half wriggled on the shell! Still alive and squirming! Might as well eat one of my Slow Worms.

You're right, I'll leave the scallops to the professionals ;)
Pheasants! Oh yes, my dad won a brace at the golf club Christmas draw. 'Would you like me to prepare them for you?' said the nice man who'd donated them.
'Oh no', says Dad, my daughter and I will do that'

Oysters I will only eat them if they're not too big - tip your head back, slide it in, squish slightly on the roof of your mouth, then swallow - delicious :D (God that sounds rude! ) :D

I remember going scalloping with my popa, wading through the water to pick them up.... Ah fond happy memories. Of course I was too small though to have to open and clean them. I think that was nanas job.
