I am furious

Postby lissie » 03 Dec 2014, 11:31

If you remember we had our drains overflowing twice last month and contaminated water
flowing over our yard and in the garage :(
Two of our neighbours were affected as well and it was caused by the heavy rain and a
blockage somewhere in the system :(
These two neighbours have received a letter from Southern Water compensating them by
letting them off the water rates for a year.
We did not receive one so i phoned them to be told that we only had external flooding but
we could fill a form in and they would consider our case again.
They said our neighbours had internal flooding (they did`nt) and that they must have filled
a form in (they did`nt)
I have just sent them a letter stating my disgust at being left out as we were the only ones
that needed our property disinfected and cleaned :o
My nearest neighbour feels very upset on my behalf as she said that no one went indoors to
check if she was flooded or not.
My daughter says that if we don`t get compensated to put it on Twitter and as Southern Water
are having a lot of problems at the moment and have beeen fined heavily they will probably
contact you immediately :)
What would you do??

Agreed, that's not on. :( See what their next response is, and if you don't get fair compensation, tell them you'll write to your MP, and go public about it.

That is absolutely appalling Lissie :(

I agree with your daughter. Not that I know how to use it, but in situations like this social media can be your best friend, esp things like Twitter - it's too far reaching for Southern Water not to take notice.

Go get 'em girl!!!!
