The forecast here is for snow for the next five days, at least.

We went to Morrisons to stock up with essential food this afternoon but couldn't
get anywhere near it as the carpark was full and there was a queue of waiting cars
along the road for about 200 yards. So we went to Aldi, parked alright, but found
that most of of the shelves were bare. But we won't starve

If the snow lasts as long as the rain did, we will probably be well and truly snowed up.

Bet they had plenty of 'beef'burgers Aggers ;)
I was out but didn't think to do any stocking up today, I'm sure we'll be fine though - fish fingers and custard here we come :D

My daughter came round for a meal on Sunday and we went to ASDA to to do a big shop as we knew this week would be bad.

It's a good job we did, as it's worse than the forecast.

Today was the first day that I have been out since then, and that was to go to the hospital for my back rehab, so not much choice.

I am now back home and intend to stay here till the cold spell breaks.

We did our usual Thursday night big shop. The shelves were pretty bare in both Asda and Aldi, particularly in fresh fruit and veg and the bread aisles.

A friend posted a picture on FB of our local Sainsburys last night - no fruit, no veg, no milk, no bread. Mad! Yes its forecast to come but only for a couple of days!!!

We have had ore overnight and our road is impassable (isnt it always in snow). But we took our cars down last night (as did most of our neighbours I think). The A6 is open (we can see it from the bedroom window) so I have spoken to the head and school is opening although it may close at mid day as we have a lot of snow forecast to come later.

We have snow - it snowed overnight and still is, and the sky looks full of it :?

I did a food shop yesterday lunchtime, it was very busy but the shelves were still full, although that could well have changed later on. I only bought the usual weekend stuff, but my garage freezer is pretty full, I have extra bread in there and I have some of that cartoned UHT milk in my cupboard that I bought before Christmas in case it was needed..............

I hope everyone has enough in to tide them over this weekend as it looks pretty bad on the forecast. We are right on the edge of a red and amber warning - but being in the Severn Valley here we usually escape the extremes of bad weather........

Di it was good enough for Doctor Who ;) :)

We just had a light flurry of snow last night and some of that has stuck in places, nothing more as yet. I am hoping we manage to get to the cinema this afternoon because we had planned to see Les Mis today. As for food etc. I stock up well every winter now out of habit - long life milk and dry goods and it has really paid off doing that before panic buying begins. Hubby makes all our bread and we have plenty of flour and yeast too so we will be alright. I don't even know if there has been panic buying here because the weather hasn't been bad enough yet.

It eventually started to snow here in Rustington at 8 am.
Now at 10 am it's really quite heavy.
Be safe out there.

We had snow overnight (coming from the east) now we're waiting for the band of snow from the west. The sky is very grey and it's quite breezy. Schools were in, luckily, as youngest has a GCSE exam this morning.

I need to get some shopping (I really wish I'd gone yesterday) so I'll walk to the local co op for bread and easy to carry things and hopefully meet OH at the supermarket later for heavy things. I'm not going to drive but I can walk round and OH can pick me up on his way home from work.

Hope you all stay safe and warm :)
