I read somewhere that they are going to have more gritty story lines!

I love this programme - I read the books a couple of years ago and thought have fabulous they were.

The girls have just got into it too after the xmas special and they have been desperate for the series to start. They didn't see any of the last series.

I've read the books too, just before the first series. My MIL had bought them, she loves books about nursing in the 50s and 60s as that was when she started nursing. I borrowed them afterwards and loved them :)

Grittier? The books can get pretty gritty

I love the programme too and am so glad to see it back, but somehow I couldn't get into the books.

They were selling these books for £1 each in The Works in Birmingham last month.

Worth me getting them?
