Morning Ally and everybody.

It is a very cold morning here and there has been a very heavy frost. The temperature hit -3.2º earlier on and it hasn't risen above freezing yet. Hubby has a ticket for the football match this afternoon. He is going to have to wrap up warm! Instead of waving his scarf he will have to wear it.

I am doing gammon with lentils for the meal and usually do this in a saucepan, but am wondering whether to try it in the slow cooker for a change. I will see about it - it should work alright.

Snow is forecast for tomorrow and I am hoping it isn't much as I don't fancy driving to choir in it tomorrow night.

I hope you have a nice day and that all poorly people keep warm and get well soon.

Morning all. Lovely sunny day here. I am going stir crazy here, so Mr L and I will take Jasper out for a walk. I will have to hang on to hubby though as the vertigo is no better.
Have a good day everyone x

Morning everyone :) We've not long woken up  Must have needed the sleep

Loz enjoy your walk, you must be so fed up being stuck indoors, but take it easy xxxxxx

We've got gammon today as well (chicken for me as I don't eat ham) but not in the slow cooker, much as I love mine - we have to eat at lunchtime as H has to go back to his dad's this afternoon...............We've had a lovely weekend though, H said as much last night :)

Have a good Sunday everyone :) xxxx

Morning all :)

Very cold but no frost here, lovely to see blue sky though. Yesterday was really horrid, Heavy rain much of the day - my new jacket kept me nice and dry though :)

A disaster to try and sort out later. Made Bb a coffee yesterday afternoon, he picked it up and the mug broke
The entire contents went onto the carpet, we used just about a whole kitchen roll but it was still pretty wet...I have a vax spot-cleaner which we'll give it a go with. Not very hopeful really but maybe it will work.

Rodo I think it should be fine so long as it's not overcooked, for most things you need less liquid but you'll probably be happy with the extra, for soup :)
Hope everyone has a good day and the weather's not too harsh. Vibes for Millie, and happy birthday Ally's dad.

Loz it's horrible I know, my dad had it once, really hope it improves soon.

Morning all. Its really cold out there this morning.

Happy Birthday to your dad Ally and hope you are feeling better soon Loz.

No news on Millie yet this morning - the vet is ringing us with an update later. We aren't expecting any change though as they are not going to try feeding her until tomorrow. So I assume that she is still her bright and bouncy self today.

I'm off out to a pamper day at a friends house. About 8 of us are getting together at someone's house and we have two beauticians coming and we all have "stuff" done. I am having a back massage (I can't wait) and my eyebrows reshaping.

We will sit around drinking Asti and lime and will have a very sumptious lunch which we all provide (I feel very guilty as with everything else that's going on I forgot all about it but the others have told me not to worry about it). This evening we will go back to our friends hotel (she will also be at the pamper day) and meet up with our other halves (and S and L - the others all have children who are at Uni or at work) and have lasagne and left overs from lunch.

I am really, really looking forward to it.

Mick has gone off looking at boars ready for pig breeding; L stayed over at a friends house last night and S has got her "boyfriend" here and they are off out doing whatever they are doing in the village I think (although I did just hear them talking about staying here as it is cold out there). He lives about 4 miles away from us and has scooted here on his little scooter (the push along variety - not a motorbike one). They are just friends (they are only 12 and 13) but she classes him as her boyfriend as that's what they do at school apparently. He seems very pleasant - this is the first time I have met him although have seen him plenty of times on Skype. She spent 5 hours on to him yesterday.

Enjoy your pamper day Debih!

I always put loads of liquid into the slow cooker for everything. I freeze the excess to use with other dishes
