A busy time ahead

....he's a perfectionist.

Hmmmm.... being a perfectionist can be a right pain at times.

I remember doing the kitchen. The walls were not true, not parallel, the corners not square, and the thought of seeing the 'planks running in at an angle did my head in.

I eventually had to run them 90° to my original plan with the planks running shortwise across the room. It looked OK, but I was never happy with it.

LOL Jo and Di - you should see my lot when they come running in from the back garden. The open plan dining / kitchen area already has laminate flooring down (a cheap one that will replaced) and they come running in at full speed and then try and turn the corner because the door out the kitchen to the rest of the flat is to their right.... they never make it and scrabble along the floor, bounce off the kitchen units in front of them and then continue full pelt to the lounge

My two hurtle down the stairs, skid on the rug in the hall and end up in a crumpled heap of rug and cats against the front door. It never seems to faze them.

No, I think cats are fine, as smaller dogs seem to be - bigger dogs really can do themselves damage though

I always had cats, and that's made me remember one in particular as a kitten. If ex and I were changing the bed, she'd always jump on it - you know when you hold the duvet and fluff it up to make it all even - we'd then spend the next 10 minutes or so bouncing her up and down, and if she came off she'd jump straight back on again
