Wet and windy here but not what was expected of Bertha, yet anyway. Bad in Japan I believe. :( Have a nice day everyone.

Morning all :D

Wet and miserable here at the moment, it rained most of the night too. Waiting for E to get out of the shower, surprise surprise we had a lazy lie in  and then we'll pop out for the papers. No other plans for today, just the usual washing/drying etc.

Hope you all have a good day :D

:D 8-)

It's my 'fault' - as it was raining I planned our first roast dinner in weeks and weeks, so now it will probably be scorching by dinner time

Should have had your barbie :D
Mind you, although it's lovely and sunny it's blowing an absolute gale here so maybe not!
I could fancy a roast anyway :)

Everyone who should have been in Waitrose this morning was there all at once this afternoon, it was horribly busy.
But we did get a bargain, and not even reduced :D
We've discovered these different cuts of steak; first we tried a Denver, which was reduced in M&S - probably because no-one knew what it was and they're missing a trick by not explaining ;) It's like a cross between rump and fillet, it's a new cut from part of the chuck.

Then we found the same at the big Morrisons we stopped at on the way home from Julia's, and it was under £4 for two :)
Now we've got a bavette, which was about £3 for plenty for us two :D

The drawback with all of them is that they're apparently no good if you like them well done, but since I have mine medium rare and Bb has his medium that's not a problem :)

No we've had several very short and very sharp showers since then Di! The weather is all over the place

Those sound like bargains - we had a very good shop at at Morrisons, using that voucher my week's shop came in well under £60  That's with Harry here too :o

Lol yes that's good with H to fill :D

Having looked again the steaks we got this time are flat iron - same price, different shape :)
