I have unwelcome visitors in my kitchen - Tom and M! I opened the dishwasher up at lunchtime and thought how lovely it was to find it pretty much empty. You can bet that next time I look there'll be glasses wedged in precariously and not a bit of space for anything else - they're cooking judging by the smells drifting up

Thank God that's stopped for a while!

They're replacing all the street lights around here (actually I think they're gradually being done everywhere).
Today at 8am they started, digging the holes for the new ones. Blimey it's such a noise!! :o
It goes for about 45 minutes, then stops for 5
They did stop for lunch, which was nice :)

It's like a higher-pitched pneumatic drill...down the road off the main road, onto the one at right angles to ours...several roads to go, including ours :?

Our estate is only about 7/8 years old, doubt they'd need to for a while! It was fields before that, and an orchard. Hence the apple themed names of the roads - Windfall Way, Green Pippin Close, Braeburn Close

Dunno Kaz - the ones in our little close were done only last year or the year before, switched from the old yellow ones - but these are a new type apparently :?
