Morning all :D

Up early as I need to do a bit of running around, bank, pay papers, get petrol and so on before going over to the CH. The plan is if the weather stays nice we'll take mother out for coffee and ice cream, if she's up and having a good morning that is, drop her back and collect Ashley for the hospital appointment. Lots of toing and froing as of course we'll need to get Ashley back afterwards. Then I expect E and I will take advantage of the free coffee offer at Waitrose and pick up some salad bits while we're there ready for dinner.

Good luck at the hospital loz xxx

Not sure if I've told you I have a bad reaction to bites these days. Got bitten yesterday afternoon while we were out doing the garden. It's on the collar bone and is already huge and very red, the spread is about 3inches. Taking anti histamines etc but it's driving me mad and I know will be like this for a few days yet. Sometimes takes over a week to start going down.

Hope you all have a good day :D

Morning :)

Jen I'm the queen of bad reactions to bites! Get some hydrocortisone, from Boots; put it on as soon as you notice you've been bitten, you only need a tiny bit, it will stop that reaction with no need for the antihistamines.
If you catch it early enough just the one dab will do, otherwise a couple of times a day.
And get some Boots Jungle Formula spray, in the grey/silver aerosol - and use it! A quick spray, morning and evening, will do it.
It's well worth it, I've had reactions so bad I couldn't walk!

Beautiful here again :D
Commonwealth games starts today so that's TV sorted :)
A bit of gardening where it's shaded - really must try and get into the front garden before the sun hits.
Good luck to Jen and Loz (((x)))

Hope you all have a good day

Get some Eumovate cream Jen, you can buy it over the counter, you might need to fib and say it's for a mild patch of eczema somewhere as they always ask what it's for and are quite strict....... Very mild steroid cream - perfectly safe if used correctly for a short time - and it takes down bite reactions or anything like that in no time ;)

Morning everyone :) I slept like a log and am still a little tired but will be fine when I get myself going ;) Must upload those photos later and post some :)

Hugs for ((((((Loz)))))) and (((((((((Jen))))))) today xx

Have a nice Thursday everyone xxx

Oops snap Di re the hydrocortisone, that's what Eumovate is :D  They do want to know the ins and outs of a duck's wotsit here before they sell it, but if you say it's mild eczema, and for yourself, they will ;)

I'll pop into Boots on the way home later, thanks for the advice Di and kaz. I've got the Boots antihistamine cream but tbh it's not helping at all. Bought the tablets in Barbados, they're really good, just not enough.

Nope, the antihistamine cream does nowt for me either :D
Thanks to my gp I know now - they're happy to prescribe it but if you normally pay it's cheaper to buy it.
It was her who recommended the particular spray too, I've tried others when they're on offer but this one is much better and nicer to use.
I just get the generic hydrocortisone, it's cheaper ;)
