Saundra, they think people are stupid don't they?! How annoying for you

Usually I book both boys in together but didn't this time now Tom's old enough to go on his own and sign the NHS forms, thought I'd let him be a bit more independent with appointments and I'm so glad that I did because if the three of us had gone the bus fares would've been around £16 and then we'd have had to do it all over again in a few weeks.

Our dentists always ring in the morning of the appointment, or the evening before, just to remind you

But at 60 euros a pop, I'm not surprised

Ours ring about two or three days in advance to remnd you, and they are NHS We are very lucky to have found that practice I think

Yes ours do too, an automated thing, but if it all goes wrong on the day that doesn't help does it

Ours is only 5 minutes away, so in a way it's even more annoying if you arrive and they say they're running late, too long to just sit there but not really worth bothering to go home and back.

If you had phoned them on the day to cancel because Tom was ill, you can bet they would have charged a cancellation fee.

It was arson over on the farm, two boys playing with lighters destroyed a field of straw according to the fire service.

It's so stupid isn't it Jo, obviously it happens a fair bit around here - they have no idea how fast and how dangerous it can be
