Lol Lissie I knew there was bound to be at least one :D
I don't mind what anyone else has I just couldn't myself, I don't think I've ever served both roast and mashed potatoes with a roast either, but I know plenty of people do :)

Actually thanks to a long-ago local I have a soft spot for French bread and butter with shepherds pie :D

It's never crossed my mind to serve chips or any other form of potato for that matter with shepherd's pie, I only ever serve other veg - peas, carrots, cauli or whatever.

Di, I think I could eat French bread and butter with absolutely anything

My mum and dad once went to someone's for dinner and they got lasagne with roast potatoes, veg and gravy :D

I never make chips so the only time I would have them with lasagne is if I had a pub meal. :D

The thought of shepherds pie and chips is yuk.

The thought of chips and gravy? :? Double yuk.

Good job we're all different.

Well Ton you're in Portugal and they serve both rice and chips together :D

No, I just wouldn't do the potato with potato thing at all, or chips with pasta - it's bad enough to enjoy bread with pasta (which I do!) :D

But Ally that's where I see it too (chips with lasagne) and I always wonder why on earth they do it!
Chips and gravy, no no no :o

Oh yes we're all different - and we all think everyone else is odd :D

I think it's because I don't make my own chips I love them when I go out.

But that's a UK thing too - over here lasagne is served only with salad. :D :D

OMG - chips and gravy. Almost as gorgeous as chips and curry sauce.

And roast potatoes and mashed potatoes go together wonderfully. Though I'd never have chips with shepherds pie - no, no, no.

Not heard the new album yet Jo - its on my download list.
