Morning Ally, morning all :)

Well our beautiful day came to a very impressive end around midnight- a massive thunderstorm, huge great cracks of lightening with thunderclaps at the same time, absolutely spectacular :D
No doubt a lot of people who'd gone to bed, with their windows open wide, will have had quite a rude awakening!
It didn't last all that long, after 15 minutes or so it had moved away quite a bit.

More of the same forecast for today, meant to be hot and sunny first but at the moment it's cloudy. Tonight and tomorrow lots more storms coming.

Today I shall be attempting to catch up with some h-word, and hopefully a bit of ironing.
Hope you all have a good day
Di

Morning Ally, Di, everyone :)

Di we got the rude awakening!!! Massive thunder claps, then lightning but not a lot of rain. It has cleared the air a little though.....Not a good night as Pepper was ill several times, so taking her outside, then clearing up, then trying to sleep before it all happened again, several times, put paid to most of our night's sleep  Strangely we both feel wide awake now but I expect we'll be very tired later :? Peps seems fine, perhaps it was just the heat :?

Not sure what, if anything, I'll be doing today, will see how I feel....

Have a good day everyone :) xxxxx

Morning! We didn't get the thunder, but it is pouring cats and dogs here this morning. This will affect the golf Open at Hoylake I think.

Have a nice day everybody.

Like Rodo we have had the rain. Not heard any thunder or seen any lightning.
Several patches of blue sky now.

Just pottering today.
Hope everybody has a good day

Morning all. Overcast and breezy here this morning. We had a few spots of rain around 6am but our big storm is forecast for the early hours of tomorrow morning.

I am in a foul mood after having a huge row with Mick last night over absolutely nothing. He went out for a drink with his dad and then called into our local pub on his way home where he fell out with the landlady (over nothing - he obviously had it on him last night) and stomped home. Then he realised that he had left L's birthday cards that his dad had given him in the pub (the one he stomped out of ) which probably have money in. He refused to go back for them (he is never going in there ever again - until the next time) and asked me to go and fetch them. I said no as I was in my pj's, having not long got out of the bath. So he started ranting and raving - about me doing nothing but sitting in front of the tv, that I was horrible to his parents. :o :o :o and horrible to him, yadda yadda yadda. God knows where it all came from - he was like a little boy having a tantrum. I was furious.

In the end I got dressed and went and fetched the bloody cards just to shut him up. And I stayed for a drink so was gone ages - which then prompted him to start on me again when I got home!

I am beyond angry with him. I haven't spoken to him this morning and I won't see him tonight as I will be gone before he gets home and will be home late.

Concert for me tonight with S and her friend. I will be picking two very excited girls up from school.

L has her first performance of the pantomime tonight. Mick is going to watch it (that was another row earlier in the week - he didn't want to go and watch and was just going to go and pick her up at the end. I was really cross as I had been planning on going both nights to see it so that they had someone in the audience watching them and then I booked the tickets for this concert meaning I wouldn't be there tonight. Mick had had no intention of going to watch it at all as "he doesn't like pantomimes". Neither do I mate - they're like having teeth pulled - but thats life). He's driving me mad at the moment and I'm dreading going on holiday with him. I think its all connected to his sisters visit but tbh, I don't care whats causing it. I just know I'm getting the brunt of it.

Rant of the day over. Off to make a cake look like a pug!

Morning all - yup lots of thunder and lightening about 2am where I was, as you say Di; very spectacular. A rather windy morning this morning but meant to get really really hot later in the day. More thunderstorms tonight again I gather

Kaz, if it does get that hot today, what you could maybe do to help Pepper to cope is wet a towel and put that either on the tiled kitchen floor where it hopefully is a bit cooler or outside on the patio in the shade.

have a lovely day everyone x

Thanks Ria, good idea. She tolerates heat less well than Fraggle, he chases the sun round the garden to sit in it :)

Morning all :D

We had a full on spectacular thunder and lightening session here about Iamish, it hasn't cleared the air though, still very muggy today.

Oh dear debih, hope things calm down in plenty of time for you to all enjoy your holiday x

Not much planned for today, expecting a client around 10.30ish and a delivery between 1-2, will also need to pop down the road for papers and that's about it.

Hope you all have a good day :D
