just have a bad day-

a friend was flying back to Uk today-Funchal-Lisbon, Lisbon- Manchester

last night he learnt that today's 9.40 flight was cancelled ,no reason given

however he was put on 10.50 ok

at Lisbon missed his Manchester flight by 2 minutes-his fault,went wrong way

so hotel in Lisbon tonight + dinner+ 450 euros for flight tomorrow

wife in UK cooking dinner ,but he didnt text her til 6.30 when he should have been walking through the door-too busy sorting hotel & new flight

dead man walking comes to mind !!

If I'd been his wife I wouldn't have been cooking dinner - I'd have been tracking his flight (or the lack of it! ) on the tinterweb and arranging for a takeaway.

Hope he gets home safely.

I'd be the same as Ally - never cook unless you know they're home.

Grumpy has learnt his lesson - do not tell me you'll be home for dinner, then ring 2 hours later to say you'll be a little late

the funny thing for us is that O.H. wished him a good flight and his reply was-make a change to have a rubbish one.lol

if any of you live near Oswestry ,i should cover your ears about 6.30 tonight!!
