Good morning Friday

Postby Ally » 04 Jul 2014, 04:43

Good morning. :D

Up at mental o'clock as today's the day Jacob goes to his voluntary week in Ronda - so early in fact the buses aren't even running yet and he needs a lift into Malaga.

Conor got up to give his twin a hug and best wishes - and then staggered back to his bed.

Today is also P day - that's phone day   ..so another trip into Malaga later this morning this time on the bus. :D

We've decided to make a day of it and have a walk along the coast and a bite to eat. :D

Back to our town early evening and meeting some friends in the plaza for the first of the footy games. :D

Then beers and tapas with our usual Friday night friends. :D

That's my day sorted.

Have a good one. :D :D

Morning all :D

It's our last full day here, one last viewing this morning. Not sure we've found 'the' bungalow, but we do know we'd be happy in this area so one mission accomplished.

Not sure what we'll be doing for the rest of the day, we've been so lucky with the weather, we'll probably drive round the coastline and enjoy being on the seafront.

Hope you all have a good day :D

Good morning everyone. I'm early this morning because I was dragged from my bed at what seemed like the middle of the night (7.30 - I'm not an early riser). Mr PP had spotted that Henry had blood on his paw, went straight to panic mode, and called me, so I had to crawl out of my warm bed to remove a bit of red fluff from his claw. It's not worth going back to bed now. It's raining after a beautiful sunny week but at least it's refreshingly cool. No plans for the day at all. Enjoy whatever you get up to.

Morning :)
Oh lol PP, you did mention a tendency to panic

A cooler, fresher start here but forecast to get very warm before rain later, hopefully not till tonight.
Jen that's a good start, now you know the area to aim for :)
Ally good luck to Jacob, he'll love it :) And good luck to you for the phone shop :D

I've been doing a bit of emergency gardening (before my second coffee!); in the mornings I wander round idly inspecting, deadheading, whatever. Today I snipped off a dead cosmos flower and underneath was a big crop of blackfly  So found the bug killer and went round all the cosmos checking - they're obviously susceptible as several had some on the stems.

Today Bb has to go to Winchester to work; I haven't told him yet but heard on the radio there's a big fair thing on, road closures, all sorts, today and tomorrow (and yes, he's there tomorrow too). I'll wait till he's had his second coffee ;)
Not sure what I'm doing, but will find something :)

Hope Kate's feeling better, hope and everyone has a good day

Morning everyone :)

Our weather is breaking Di, very windy and the odd spit of rain :? Still Mick has taken the day off and has asked me out to lunch, before he goes to fetch H later this afternoon *Hmmm wonder how long I can milk this!* ;) ;) Hopefully it won't pour until later 8-) Hope your plants will be ok, one of my hanging baskets is looking half dead, no idea why as it has been well watered and fed :? :(

Ally that all sounds great, good luck to Jacob today and LOL @ Connor

Jen deciding on the area is so important, and it sounds as though you've had an enjoyable week - you never know today's might even be the one! 8-) :)

L that made me laugh, I am sure the odd choice word was exchanged? ;)   Glad the kitty was ok though 8-) :D :D xxxxx

Have a good day everyone :) xxx

Bits and bobs for us today - ned to find the mechanic, the ar is still not right   so we've been looking at another one :D But it won't be until we've sold the house - don't want to spend savings money - a pool is more important

Morning all. Been out for a lovely walk with Mille and now home to potter around the house.

Had a phone call from the local hospital this morning! On Wednesday I had a call from school to say that L had fallen and hurt her thumb. I picked her up and as it was painful and swollen took her to hospital. We are very lucky that we have a minor injuries dept at our local cottage hospital and they also have an xray dept there (part time - but it was luckily open when we were there on Wednesday).

We were seen within 5 minutes of arriving (told you we were lucky with having such a fab local service) and she was sent for xrays - from arriving at the hospital to sitting with the nurse looking at the x rays took less than 15 mintues!!! The nurse said it didn't look as though it was fractured but she was going to send the xrays off to be looked at (by whom I have no idea) and that she would ring me the next day if there was a problem. She put her hand in a wrist splint, told me to use ice packs and to give her paracetamol and ibropofin. When I didn't hear anything yesterday I assumed all was fine.

She rang me at about 9am this morning. The results were back and it looks as though she may have broken her scaphoid bone. She did tell me on Wednesday that a scaphiod fracture is difficult to spot and may not actually show up for 10 to 14 days. She has made an appointment for the fracture clinic on Monday.

I am so hoping they have got it wrong as if it is fractured it could be in plaster from her elbow to her fingers for 8 to 12 weeks - just what we need before she goes bowling on Friday, to laserquest for her birthday, takes part in a horse show in a couple of weeks time, has 6 weeks off for summer and will want to go surfing every day in Cornwall. And I've just bought her a wetsuit from ebay - I hope it arrives today or tomorrow so she can at least try it on to see if it fits - it won't go on over a plaster cast!!!!
Life begins at the end of your comfort zone!

Oh no Debih  But thumbs do need proper attention, so it's as well they're doing whatever they need to x

Saundra it's lovely that you could help Lily's mum like that :)

Yes Loz so I gather - he doesn't often need to to go there, but it turned out he's not near the town centre and was planning on going up via Romsey, so thought he should be ok :)

Update on the weather - it all cleared and it's very hot and sunny :D
I'm chuffed as I've done my whole list - deadheaded the buddleia, clipped the thing that looks like holly but isn't (no hard prickles), trimmed the Pieris - and cleaned the bathroom basin :D
It means no hoovering etc but there's always tomorrow and I can't garden in the rain ;)

Just deciding whether to have a decent coffee or walk up into the village to collect my eye drops...spotted next door's in for a change, she might like a coffee :)
