I'm a little bit in love with the carpet fitter

Not only did he carry a 5m x 3m roll of cushion flooring on his shoulders a quarter of a mile up our lane as the idiot water board had closed the road again and did it with a smile, he has now just been telling me about the 13 year old lad that works with him on a Saturday.

He (Ben the fitter) was fitting carpets at Nathan's house and he let him have a go with the staple gun. Nathan enjoyed it so Ben jokingly told him if he turned up the following week he could help him at other peoples houses. And he did.

Nathan is at L's school. He is 13 (just) and has ADHD.

Ben is 26 and, in my book an absolute star. Especially as he pays Nathan £15 a week out of his own pocket!
