Good morning everybody.

Been to the gym, then some shopping. Have also put some plants in. I ordered them on line and they arrived this morning just after 8.00 a.m. Have also watered them as the ground is dry.
This afternoon am going to have a blood pressure test.
One of the doctors from our surgery phoned me yesterday. They do this by appointment at least once every year. She said there is nothing wrong with my blood pressure but they want to make sure there has been no change. It is a good surgery and we have not had any problems booking an appointment.
Then some more shopping at Aldi.

Morning all! It's a lovely day here although it's getting more cloudy now, but it is very warm. I was awake for about two hours during the night, no reason, but am feeling a bit sleepy now, so a snooze might be on the cards as we have a busy weekend ahead. We are off to a dance break in a place called Maynooth, not too far away, about 45 minutes away. It will feel good to be able to do a bit of dancing, although I will definitely take it easy - hope we can remember our routines

Ain't that the truth! I had everything packed early so Mr. Osc could load up the car for me. We have a good sized suit bag and a suitcase and the case was sooooooo heavy :o   It's that whole going in the car thing, you feel you can chuck in everything AND the kitchen sink  We're both looking forward to the break and he certainly deserves it after all his hard work over the last six weeks.

Have a great weekend everyone :D

Yes it's Friday the 13 neighbour trimmed the one side of my front garden
Got a bit over enthusiastic and demolished a small bed
Of wild flower plants thought they were weeds
Ho well I kept smilling

Grey and warm here, was a gorgeous sunny day yesterday though so not too bad, although I do love a bit of sunshine on my days off 8-)

I'm having a wishy washy day today - no plans and had been out shopping yesterday so didn't want to go again....I've walked into the village as I needed a fringe trim but then have only housework to do and a few hanging baskets to plant but I CBA just now  Lewis is sleeping tonight, first time in ages, so shall look forward to that :D

Donna has asked if I'd be prepared to look after New Baby on a Thursday from after Christmas when she starts back to work  Eeeeek!! I haven't cared for a newborn in almost 26 years    Her mam is having Baby on a Friday (her day off) so I do feel honoured to be asked but it is a big ask

Have a lovely day everyone xx

Wow that is a big ask :o How do you feel about it. I think I'd like it now and again, but every week? :? I must be getting selfish in my old age..............

It is an honour to be asked though, shows how much she thinks of you! 8-) :D

Well I've been out and about in the blaaaaazing sunshine :) I fancied a pair of those loose, patterned trousers that look like pyjama pants LOL and found a nice pair in black and white in H&M, and got the kids some bits in Primark - B another pair of the skinny jeans she likes, and Harry a couple of England tee shirts to wear while the footie is on 8-) He'd better wear them quick, before we get chucked out of the tournament :P

I've also been to the doctor's, will update on my Health board thread in a bit 8-) :)

Love to all xxx

I quite like those trousers too Kaz :)
I got an 'East' linen dress in my favourite charity shop, with pink flowers on it :)

Bb's got an old shirt his dad bought him with Bobby Moore's number on the back, he's put it on already :D

Gal I agree, do think long and hard about whether it's something you'd actually want to do (((x)))

So much depends on who works in them I think Kaz; there's one here that we both like best, a lovely Spanish lady is in charge and won't have any rubbish in there but still charges fair prices.
The one today is where we used to live; there are several charity shops but the Red Cross one is always best, I nearly always find something in there. Their prices are very fair, the East dress was £8 but obviously virtually new (crispy wash label ;) ), whereas dresses from Tesco etc were half that.

It also depends on the quality of the donations, and the stuff here isn't up to much, no 'labels'

Yes I agree, but why is that?
The place we used to live is absolutely not a wealthy area - this town is, in theory, but has all sorts down to, believe me, the lowest you can get.
And yet, that shop today is the one that consistently has the best selection, a very close second is the one here (Marie Curie).
It must have something to do with the actual shops, the layout, the atmosphere, the manager, everything - after all, every town has both wealthy and poor residents.
