I've never been able to make meringues. I should have just bought some,

It's lovely and crispy on the outside but too chewy inside.

I found three shop bought ones in the cupboard so I've crumbled them in with it. Then it's going to be covered in pears, nuts, double cream and chocolate sauce so I'm pretty sure it'll be fine.

Debih I often used to make pavlovas when we lived in York as I lived near a PYO fruit farm - I thought they were supposed to be chewy and gooey in the middle, in fact I thought that was what the small spoonful of vinegar in my recipe was for

It will be lovely, they will scoff the lot!

Poor Grumpy - he's desperately trying not to cough, it really hurts him.

I'm pouring beer, soft drinks, brandy and water down his throat (not all at the same time tho )

I've lost a diamond out of my ring.

I don't know when - I noticed it yesterday. I'm hoping it can be repaired - it's one I bought myself out of some money Micks gran left me. It cost about £400 to buy so it will be worth getting it fixed if it can be done. I'm really upset about it.
