The landlord has had the guttering replaced on the flat. The guy started yesterday and finished the job about an hour ago.

I can confirm, thanks to the weather, that the new guttering works just fine - it does what it says on the tin.  :o

There are nine houses in this little close; this morning I realised that since someone moved into the end one:
The first 3 have blue cars.
The next 3 (starting with us) have red cars.
The two opposite have silver/grey cars.

Someone has now moved into the one the other end, between the red cars and the silver/grey ones.
It looks like they have a blue one.
Should I tell them they'll have to move, or just get a different car?

Something has to be said, and PDQ..... Nobody wants to live on Anarchy Street.

Next thing you know they will be hanging up washing using any old peg, possibly even ones that clash! :o

Joking aside, cars do seem to come in far fewer colours these days - I thought that when I was looking for ours in the multi-storey the other day

They come in plenty of colours Kaz, but you only really get to choose if you buy a brand new one ;)
Most people seem to choose boring old black, navy, red - but they're usually the cheaper options too.

Ah maybe that is why they seem so homogenous then these days, a matter of price ;) 8-)

Life is far too short to worry about matching pegs :o

I don't exactly worry, but our pegs happen to be a mixed pack of black, navy blue, pale grey, and a few white, so yes I do tend (ok almost always) at least use a pair that match.
Then we have a few old big ones, in bright orange, blue and white, handy for heavy bath towels and kingsize duvet covers.

Now I may be peculiar but it just seems wrong to use one small navy peg and one big orange one on a pair of white crops

  I don't get the pegs thing - if they work what does it matter? :?

Perhaps it's just me but mine are a mixture of big blue plastic ones, smaller pink and yellow plastic and a few wooden ones left from an old set......I live dangerously and just peg out as they come out of the peg basket :o
