Another gorgeous morning here too Done the watering, cut the bushes back in next doors garden - ours were growing through the fence There's a lovely breeze, so keeping the temperature down a little
Not sure we'll be doing today, not a lot probably
Good luck to your mum Jen and have a lovely adventure day Di xx
I have just had a phone call from the head asking me to come in and see her asap about an urgent, highly confidential matter. All I know is that it has something to do with yr 6 SATS.
I was due to finish work at 11.30 and was heading straight home to get the painting done (I was hoping to spend all afternoon and all day tomorrow to get all the walls emulsioned ready for Mick to gloss on Saturday morning so we could spend Sunday getting everything back in. I've got to go over to the garage tomorrow afternoon now as a bit fell off my lovely shiny new car - only the door handle trim but even so). I now have to go straight into school though I have said that I have to be home for 1pm as I have the washer man coming.
I was so hoping that my last couple of months as chair of governors would be quiet. I told them on 28th March that I would be standing down on 16th June and since then two members of staff have handed in their notice so I am having to take annual leave yet again to spend one afternoon shortlisting and two full days interviewing and now have some other problem to sort out as well. Roll on 16 June. All I need now is the phone call from Ofsted announcing they are coming in!
Afternoon all, it was dull starting off and we even had a small shower, but now the sky is clearing and it's getting sunny, plus it's nice and mild. Today I actually was up, showered and dressed before breakfast, which I felt was good progress. Got a phone call early from a valuer wanting to value the house for the prospective purchaser's bank and he was here at 11 We did a bit of tidying up and made a list of what furniture we are including in the sale to send on to the estate agent, and that's me sort of done for the day, now sitting taking it easy. Mr. Osc has gone to collect Michael from playschool, and my friend E who lives in Spain is coming to visit this afternoon as she is over for about 10 days. Hope all goes well with your mum's op, Jen - have a lovely day everyone
D'uh!!! I was online briefly this morning and was SURE I posted a story about my impending busy day, I know what I typed and everything, but it's not here! I now think I closed the laptop down before pressing submit
So - up wth the larks to take Tip (greyhound) to vets for castration op, back for half an hour to shove a load in the machine and then on to dentist for a check up/scale and polish, from there across the road to hairdressers, had a slight trim/tidyup and a wash and blow dry. Back in car to town, where I very much enjoyed a latte and slice of flapjack, then to sort out a new phone contract (still to decide) and then to buy some bits - got some vests and babygros for our new baby girl-on-the-way, home for a very quick coffee then back out again to collect Lewis from school. Made him some tea and played with him for a bit after a visit to the library together.....then a mad dash to get him to football class for 6.30 - in between this, Tom took Jen to work after he was en route to collect Tip from vets and spotted her racing after a bus....we've had a Chinese for tea this evening as I CBA to cook
