Well the rain started whilst we were out - I almost rang Mick to ask him to fetch it in but thought he might be very busy and didn't want to fuss him.....but bless him he'd fetched it in anyway, so it was all nice and dry 8-) :) :)

Thanks for the good wishes for B, hopefully she will get something soon.......it will be a looong poverty-struck summer for her if she doesn't  ;)

Afternoon all! Having a good day today, having not been great yesterday. Mr. Osc did the hoovering and I did some gentle dusting. I wondered if we would change the bedlinen, whereupon The Washmeister whipped out his phone, checked the weather and pronounced that tomorrow might be better for washing the sheets taken off - he was quite surprised when I said that actually they didn't need to be washed straight away  Do you think there's a chance he may take over all this stuff permanently? ;)

I've just spent over half an hour trying to sort out some travel insurance for us - who knew that once you get to 65, as Mr. Osc is, the cost shoots up  , the people we have been with for years for annual multi-trip insurance wanted over €100 more :o Finally, the guy offered me one particular plan sold by an Irish health insurer, which cost would be held for 14 days. So I went online, and have just bought the same one for €10 cheaper (every little helps!). Single trip insurance was not proportionately cheaper, and if we were getting annual insurance, we wanted cover for the USA as we think we might head over there next year and it would be within the year. Anyway mission accomplished, but not without shock that we appear to be extremely old

Heading out for a walk soon, I've only been for the paper today but am making sure to have a walk every day. Enjoy your tango class, Loz, it will be a while before I am back on the dance floor. Enjoy the rest of your day everyone :)

Getting rid of the car, Aggers? What a terrible thought, life would not be the same for me if I did that even though I do not use it much now.
Daughter suggested I might not be up to driving to North Wales, what cheek  There are quite a few, forget how many still driving at 100
Hope you enjoy your hol anyway.

I wouldn't have thought your daughter was aiming to be cheeky Peds - perhaps just being a little concerned?

Think yourself lucky you have someone who cares enough. :)
