Yes I know I should have got all this stuff printed off sooner

Black ink runs out. Bb goes into town, spends fortune on new black ink. Only want to print in black, so that's fine.
Cannot print as Cyan has run out. Don't want to use fr*gging cyan, I told it - just print s*dding black
No I won't, it said.
And so did every search result I found. If any colour is empty it won't print even in black

Aha, Di, the good old "can't print, won't print" printer thing.

I have a Brother DCP which does the same......

I just take all the cartridges out, refill them with the cheapest ink I can find (Wilko), refit the cartridges, reinstall the damned thing, then wait till next time......

I've been looking for cheap ink everywhere I've been for a few weeks - we don't have the right kind of shops round here for all sorts of things.
What I was supposed to do was order it from amazon when I ordered the cabin bags and binbags - but I forgot because my brain is sometimes made of marshmallow
So now Bb has to go and spend another fortune on coloured ink
