Good afternoon all! It's dull and a bit chilly here today - I want Spring back!

Billy and I went for a good long walk after I'd been to the gym and done some shopping (new gym bottoms and chocolate for me for tonight :P ). I was having a right old chunter to myself as we walked though  By that time I'd been on the go for over 5 hours and clocked up 12+ miles and Tom texted me while I was over the common asking to 'borrow' £2 for the bus as he was meeting his friends in the park, which is all of a 20 minute walk away

John's hoping to get out of work on time tonight, he didn't leave until 6.30pm yesterday (the office closes at 5) and he's cycled in all week so it takes him an hour to get home and he wants to be on the way to Wales by 7.30pm tonight. His Mom called him yesterday and suggested they all take their swimming shorts so that they can use Theresa's hot tub. John said there's no way he's going in it, Tom laughed and said he's lost his shorts and Joe just gave me a look when I told him. It sounds lovely but in reality it's not. T and her husband are incredibly lazy so the garden is overgrown, the hot tub is on decking which hasn't been treated since it was fitted and it's also positioned next to the rotten garage door and has a tatty old gazebo over the top of it :|

Glad you're feeling okay Saundra, hope that Lilly's Mom gets her school news soon xx

Kaz, have a lovely time with the family! :D

Have a good day all xx

Harry is here (thanks Saundra :) ) but as he is glued to his phone and FB I am free to come on here    Gotta love the teen years  ;)

hi everyone,

Well been a bit cooler today, but it is meant to be sunny tomorrow and a high of 14 degrees, woohoo! lol!

We went to the cinema this morning and met Amy's friend she met at swimming lessons, watched Mr Peabody and Sherman - it was actually really good, saw it in 3D too :D :D went to the KidsAM which is films as they are leaving the cinema (kids films) and it was only £3 each which is great!

Then we all went for lunch and Amy and I went off to the Range and I got a new lamp for my living room.

We have baked a traybake cake thingy from Asda - not very nice but Amy enjoyed making it! Now time to watch tv and chill out!

Tomorrow we have another fun filled day planned!

yep I quite believe that Ton!

The weather here in Scotland is a lot different to further south and obviously where you are!

I remember years ago, I went down to Crawley for a training week before I went to work abroad as a Rep., it was the normal temps up here for that time of year (April) so I took jumpers/long sleeve tops etc, when I got there, everyone else on the training was from England and all had t-shirts on, it was about 5 degrees warmer!

We are lucky if we get up to 23/24 in the height of summer here!

So if we get 14 degrees tomorrow, I can wear my hooded zippy top as a jacket instead of my big trespass coat lol!!

Sorry Poll,

When we were in the Alentejo earlier this week, we were cold - and why on earth are we moving away from our lovely sunshine to that? No idea

A new adventure :D :D

 That reminds me of the first time we went to the US, to John's family in Niagara Falls. It was in the days before internet so we didn't have the luxury of tracking the weather so John called to see what the temperatures were like. He was told that it was cold, so I packed my Winter coat, plenty of jumpers and jeans etc.
Cold to them, however, was around 20 degrees...so there was nothing for it! I had to go shopping for t shirts and shorts :P

I know that feeling Jo ;)

We sit and people watch this time of year, well, all year really, I love people watching

Anyway, you can always tell the northern Europeans, they're the ones in shorts, sleeveless t-shirt and white legs

Or, like me, when we first moved over - that mad English woman, wearing flip-flops in December

Now? Socks, boots, thick jumpers, fleece (had to buy one   ) and tights if it's that bad  Well, 10C ;)

yep its mad

I HATE living here as it is so cold, we are lucky if we get a few weeks in the summer where we can actually go out with sandals etc, I am only just wearing linen trousers and converse shoes, sometimes still have my boots on!

I still have to put the heating on for a while in the evenings, despite the sun shining in the room!

Poll, I took Billy for a walk after tea and I'd felt that cold when I walked him in the afternoon that I wore my down-filled coat, gloves and boots.... :?
