I think face shape has a lot to do with it, I have a longish face anyway, my dad's face shape rather than my mum's, and too long hair drags it down - shorter gives me much-needed cheekbones :?

Poll the fact that you wear it scraped up means you aren't getting the benefits of long hair anyway! Shorter would give it some shape and style....it needn't take a lot of styling every day, mine doesn't and I think Jo and Ally just wash and then quickly put it a bit of product and then they are fit to go 8-) :)

Go for it Poll - I'm sure you'll look fab and a new style can really give you a boost. :D

I love having short hair..5 second towel dry and 5 seconds to swoosh some gel on it and I'm ready. :D

Which is just what's happened now after my badminton shower.

thanks everyone, I have found a style I am going for, and it is very nice, will try and get pic onto here..I am going to get my friend who does hair, she has done my hair a few times and I trust her to listen to me, she has recently opened a shop that does vintage hair etc, but also does 'normal' haircuts lol!

this is the hairstyle I am going for, saw a shorter one but my sis said this one is better and I agree :D

That looks great Poll, I can't wait to see pics :D

Yep, as Ally and Kaz said short hair is so quick and easy to do! When we've been abroad, like Ally, it's just been a matter of washing it and leaving it to dry which takes minutes. Here I usually just blast it with a hairdryer before sticking a bit of product on, but again that's just a couple of minutes.
Mine's been short for almost 5 years now. Before that I was stuck in a cycle of "long hair - chin length bob - grow it again" and it took me ages to dry it and then it needed straightening, and most of the time I'd end up tying it back anyway after all of that so I just thought what's the point? Short hair doesn't mean it's any less versatile - I can leave it messy or run the straighteners through it (which adds all of 30 seconds to the styling time), have the fringe loose or clip it back...

I find my hair longer so much easier than short hair. I have to blow dry short hair to get some body into it and in the morning it is always sticking out in different directions due to the layers. My hair is longer now and I wash it and leave it and that is it.

My hair is just slightly longer than the photo you posted Poll and it's a fantastic length to deal with. If you have the time to style it then great; but for day to day wear all I need to do with mine is a quick blow dry and turn under with a round brush. Mine is more straight classic bob style vs the 'choppy' look.

Really looking forward to seeing the photo's of the finished product - very exciting :D
