I think I took growing up near London then actually living there for a few years very much for granted, we rarely did the tourist stuff although my mum was keen on museums and took us to the Natural History and Science museums a few times, oh and the King Tut exhibition when it came to the BM in 1972 - now that was spectacular!!!! Oh and we went to St Pauls and a few other places with the school

We've done those museums a lot and they're fantastic...I also love the Imperial War Museum.

Oh I've had a lovely day with the parentals.

The market was fabby - mum was in her element.

I got a great bargain for my new hobby!!

A bag contain 10 immaculate different sizes of pairs of knitting needles, 2 crochet hooks, 1 cable needle and a needle with a little row counter on the end - for the bargain price of 3 euros!!

Of all the things I could never imagine in a dozen lifetimes it's our Ally crocheting doylies on the veranda. Next thing you know she'll be sipping Port and singing along to Gracie Fields on a wind-up HMV gramophone.

Lol Ally when I started I was thrilled when I got a big bundle of knitting needles and crochet hooks at a sale in the local community centre - Bb was very amused
