Sadly, I do not have a 'bringing you breakfast in bed' type servant, gofer, dogsbody, so I have to get me own.

The upside is that I can have what I want at the time I want it (11ish  ). Perfick!

Drama at the hairdressers. About 18 months ago the salon I used closed and went into partnership with another. The owners were best friends. Well the one who owned the salon I used to go to has gradually lost interest and doesn't want to work Saturdays, takes lots of holidays, works hours to suit herself while the rest - including her business partner - do the donkey work. Apparently it all came to a head last week when she walked out, leaving a client in the chair. She's since been back and taken the client contact list so that she can tout for business as she plans to go mobile. Her business partner is having to sort out finance to buy her out.

I felt so sorry for them all today. She still has clients booked in at the salon and they don't know if they're going to turn up and they need to juggle appointments around or if she's already contacted them and made arrangements to do their hair at home. I did wonder at the time though if it'd work because I've known P since school and she's not the sort of person to work in partnership with someone, she has to be top dog.

Oh dear Jo, that's a rotten thing to happen, especially not playing fair with the client list :?

Not nice at all  :(

Mind you loyalty doesn't always pay - our window cleaner's assistant left him last year, and despite it being supposedly amicable he was approaching all of the customers, us included, and trying to undercut his old boss :? Mick being straight as a die sent him packing, but since then the old 'boss' has let us down, becoming unreliable and not been at all since Christmas!!

I kind of wish we'd gone with the new guy

Tom visited Parliament with his law class earlier this school year, said it was really interesting. Glad that Lilly's Mom is having a great time!

I'm making plans to take Joe to London next month, he's not been for a few years. I went three times in three months last Summer, and two of those times were with Tom but poor little deprived CinderJoella missed out and said recently that he's fancies a day there.
