It's dull and murky out there today, and I have a tickly froat but am ignoring all that and will be out for a walk later! I'm determined to walk every day until my holiday - something drastic needs doing to get me into my shorts

Firstly though I'm starting my Spring Cleaning - starting with the paintwork, although most of it is new since Mick painted, and also wiping down my emulsioned walls and giving the bathroom tiling grout a good scrub with bleach and a toothbrush B is supposed to clean that bathroom - she's the only one apart from H who uses it - but basically she gives a lick and a promise so it needs a proper go

Just about getting to grips with my new desktop, windows 8.1 is soooooo different from xp Loving the new big screen though

We're off out to the cinema to see the new Captain America film later, very excited. Youngest daughter and SIL loved it, they took advantage of being here with built in babysitters Saturday afternoon.

Morning all. Oh I do love to be beside the sea side.

The morning routine so far has been - mum up around 6am to make herself a cup of tea and go back to bed and read. She lets the dogs out into the garden whilst the kettle boils and gives Millie breakfast number 1. I'm up around 7am and straight out with the dogs. The beach is a 5 minute walk away - across the road, round the back of the houses opposite and a stroll up to the lighthouse. Then over the field and down to the beach. I've been all on my own every morning and I love it.

Home by 8am and L is up. She makes me a coffee and a toasted tea cake. Then the others start getting up (except for S who has to be dragged out at some point during the morning).

I so wish I could do that walk every morning. I like the countryside but I love the sea.

The four of us and mum are off to Wroxham today. My sister is staying behind with dad. Roy has gone home for his interview and is due back tomorrow.

Oh, and it's an absolutely gorgeous day.

Being by the sea is my idea of heaven - I love the sand, the sea and the feeling of peacefulness that never fails to envelope me when I'm there.

Ally...feeling poetic on this sunny Tuesday morning.
