A cold westerly wind

Postby Workingman » 16 Mar 2014, 13:21

For well over week it has been beautiful and sunny with only a few passing clouds, but on Friday the wind started and it has blown and blown quite strongly - and it is icy cold.

In the sun, in a sheltered place, it is lovely, but get in the wind and it cuts right through.

We went out earlier with no coats or jackets, Mick in a tee shirt and me in a short sleeved jumper. Admittedly in the car but it was very pleasant 8-)

Ah well, it's definitely our turn WM :D
It's been mostly dull here all week, and not very warm except in the tiny bits of sun - on Thursday I needed my thick padded jacket

Today is really gorgeous, no cloud, and properly warm. We've been down to the quay, even down there it was nice without jackets. Bb even has his shorts on :D

So hot and humid here at the moment. We had tropical cyclone Lusi come knocking at our door over the weekend, so now its all the hot humid air that she's dragged from the tropics with her hanging around. should be back to normal in a day or so.

Dull grey and cloudy here again. Why do newspapers keep talking about heatwaves?
