Wonderful day...

Postby Ally » 15 Mar 2014, 18:07

We picked Gez and Sharon up at 10.15 this morning.

At the airport there was a bit of police presence so we knew something was going on - returning to the car with our visitors and there right in front of us was the Madrid football team coach. :o :D

There were a few fans waiting and I'll be honest, I'd have loved to have hung around for a few minutes for a quick look see at the Madrid team but needed to get our guests home.

We had a cuppa on the terrace then went for a lovely long walk all round our town then went to the Japanese gardens which are so pretty.

Then a bar was next for a cold beer..temps way up in the 20's so deliciously warm. 8-)

We then walked all the back up towards our house - stopping first into Big Tapas for lunch and another cold beer.

We've come home and are now watching the France-Ireland game - it's Brian O'Driscoll's last international game and we're all huge fans of his here. :D

Tonight we're going to walk back into town to Hairy Mary's for a drink, dinner and watch the Malaga Madrid game...and have a look at the players that I so very nearly seen.

All in all a lovely day. :D

We were indeed Osc. :D

Conor has a huge affinity for anything Irish (Don's parents were from Cork) and his love of the Ireland rugby team has rubbed off on me and I'm now I'm hooked.
