Reporting back - as instructed

Postby tonicha » 06 Mar 2014, 12:38

His name is Zepher and he is a very nice Portuguese Goan young man - who sadly is losing his sight very quickly. He's bought (blind - sorry for the pun, it was his  ) land and an almost ruin not too far away.

Very clever young man, marine biologist, also doing another degree in envirnomental something or other - I got lost halfway through   - but he's very hands on with what he's going to do, has an earth closet, which we heard all about   and other bits. He can only see certain things, so is very brave coming here, not knowing any-one (apart from us now) and cycling everywhere.

He's offered to have us over for a chicken curry, when he gets his cooker installed - but i think it may be sometime before we do visit.

Grumpy is a bit concerned he will get caught up in doing some work there.

Wow, that is a lot to be taking on if you're losing your sight and don't know people.

Not sure I can blame him really - may make more sense to do it the other way round if this is someone you want to stay in touch with; ie you invite him to yours for dinner so he can get away from his building site ;)

May stay in touch, but not too close.

He's a lot younger than us - especially ole Grumps

Gosh, he is brave isn't he? Hopefully he will make other friends as time goes on. Good for him grabbing life by the throat and going for it. I hope it all works out for him :D It will be nice to stay in touch, but as you say, perhaps not too close.
