When they used to do what they called International Day at junior school, where they had to dress as a child from another country, I'd send them both in jeans and a top with some kind of US design on, an I *heart* NY t shirt for instance, and they'd say that they were dressed as children from the USA. They couldn't have been the only ones as after about 3 years they letter stated that pupils could no longer dress as US children :lol: :roll:

After my years as a governor I think that World book day is the teachers revenge on moaning parents.

You just know that they all sit in the staff room plotting the next thing that'll annoy the hell out of the parents.
