It's who you know, you know

Went to the clinic this morning - full  Waited a bit, saw receptionist, explained the problem. She said she'd speak to Phillipe (lovely nurse) he was busy, so she gave my patient card to Julietta (cleaner come general helper) to grab Phillipe when he was free.

So I sat, got my book out and out comes Phillipe, ecplained to him the problem. He said wait - so I read two pages of my book and he waved me into the nurses room - out comes the lovely Dr Juan Hidalgo Berocal who saw me last week. I explain, Phillipe explains - my Portuguese is not up to medical standard  They both have a look at my ears, chat, draw a diagram  and I walk out with a note of stuff to get.

The waiting room is still full - the young lad who was fidgeting to see the nurse is still sat there  and I walk out, not paying a centime. 20 minutes - start to finish :D

I go back next Monday about midday to see the rather lush Dr Juan :D

I now have drops to put in left ear, which is still doing the singing bit - when I said it is still singing, we all had a little jig in the room

I always remember years ago, phoning the surgery to ask for an appointment and they said they were all booked up.
Then the lady asked what was wrong and I said oh, it's just a bad earache, it kept me awake, and straight away she said, you need to come in, we'll fit you in with someone.
It scared me but at least I then knew to take earache very seriously.
