Business and Profits

Postby KateLMead » 17 Feb 2014, 08:09

Well we hear how the public and families are suffering financially, no money, hardship, little food, on the breadline, yet the super stores I believe (apart from Tesco's) And various businesses, state that their Christmas Sales were the best yet.

Tonight we see the conclusion of Benefit Street. I am amazed that the "anything but hungry looking female, the mouth of the street" is now celebrity status . I wonder whether she will declare the amounts she is pocketing for going on show?
She could be on the way up  Westminster next? ;)

The big problem with the Christmas bonanza is that a lot of it was funded by debt, or "credit" as the financial insitutions like to call it. We bought loads of imported stuff we did not need to make us feel good, but when it comes to paying it off it will have been the government's fault.

I see White Dee wants to become an MP as well as a Z list sleb. She will already have been paid for her talk-show appearances, and there are rumours of a £60,000 payout for Celeb Big Brother. I do hope that someone from the DWP is watching tonight.

Are you having me on Frank? She says she is staunch Labour, well if she does make it to Westminster as an MP
She will feel quite at home sitting between Balls and Miliband. I shall watch the show tonight with
Interest I note that little has been said by the BBC about the money she stole when
When she was supposedly gainfully employed . I think it shows the depth the BBC has sunk
too when such women as her seem to be glorified

Don't blame the BBC too much Kate, the show is on C4....... and it's about as real as Dr Who when it comes to the majority who really are reliant on benefits to simply survive.

Thanks Kaz. I actually got out of my bed and went into the sitting room and saw half of the programme.
Big Issue founder who sells the big issue by the hundreds to foreign gang masters whose slaves stand on street corners in all weathers.
The programme showed just how these MP's play to the audience, The programme was very Left wing orientated Chris Briant (cannot stand the man)
Let us hope that we are seeing the back of gum chewing Dee and these dropouts . Channel 4 was very successful in presenting this programme, even if selective in what it presented on TV.
