Because I have learned to do somersaults again in my old age and attempt to prise handbags, pens, coats anything he can grab in his iron like jaws. I have learned not to wear a scarf having been almost choked when he grabbed the end and tried to pull me along.
I love my dog when I see coal chewed up and spread over my carpets and settee. I love my dog A Springer that has learned
How to jump up on sideboards and tables to Nick eggs! Cakes! Any thing he fancies.
I love my dog who when I go to put him in my Smartcar (no longer Smart.) en route he will tie me in knots with his lead, when in my vehicle he will roar like The Hound Of Baskerville knowing he is off to the woods for a run.
Yes I Love My Dog.

<<<MD>>> ...... about 15 years ago, we acquired a puppy. Well, to tell the truth, Mrs O and Master O acquired it - I was dead set against it (never having been a doggie person). But Samba quickly became loved, and party of our family for 10 years until she passed on, and the hole in our hearts was immeasurable ..... so my thoughts are with and for you, MD.

I really miss my darling Barney and often call Oscar Barney by mistake.

Oh goodness, these dogs really grab your hearts don't they? I never, ever thought I could be so attached to a dog - especially as I was the one who had to be persuaded to have one and came *this* close to saying no!

Debbie, Billy does the same for me - I'll be in the kitchen half cooking dinner, half playing Facebook games on my iPad when Billy runs through from the front room to the back door, having seen John go past
